Today a new variety of crooks called identity thieves are on the lookout for your personal information.  Once they obtain it, they may open credit accounts in your name and make large purchases with your credit.  Identity theft is a serious crime. 

People whose identities have been stolen can spend months, years, and possibly thousands of dollars cleaning up the mess made by thieves and clearing their good name.  The Edina Crime Prevention Fund would like you to know the following information in order to limit the opportunity thieves have to steal your identity.
